Simple and special non-standard linguistic forms appear in the early stage of first or second language acquisition by infants or second language learners. These forms can be called "initial speech" (IS) of infants ( babytalk), or "threshold speech" (TS) of second language learners. Both are "inceptive transitional speeches"(ITS). Initial speech will eventually be replaced by the standard target language. However, whether the threshold speech will be replaced depends on the individual learners. To facilitate the learners, parents and second language teachers also use some forms similar to the lead speech in language teaching. The forms of such language teaching may affect the learners to a certain extent as well.
