What kind of national development strategy Russia will adopt in the post-2012 election will produce some far-reaching influences on internal and external situations.Putin once scored remarkable achievements in pushing for his 'powerful nation strategy'.However,Russia's development encountered some new challenges after 2008 when Medvedev,as Russian president,worked out new agendas for Russia's development.What kind of national development strategies Putin will embrace after his presidential re-election will be decided by to what extent Putin will negate Medvedev's agendas and whether or not Putin's 'powerful national strategy' will enjoy a certain social political foundation.Sound political reforms,a growth-based economic modernization strategy as well as a balanced and pragmatic diplomacy that is beneficial to Russia's rejuvenation are expected to constitute the core contents of Russia's national development strategy in the post-election era.
