Ideology Control and Self-Colonization in Consumer Society——Guy Debord's Spectacle Society Theory and Its Criticism

居伊·德波的景观社会理论宣告当代资本主义社会已变成消费景观王国,资本所刻意建构的消费社会景观是在物质对人异化基础上的再度异化,整个当代资本主义社会形成了一种"景观拜物教"。"景观"窒息了人的创造性与革命性,使人屈从于这一异化的力量,主体从被殖民转向自我殖民。景观社会理论揭露了资本的意识形态控制,在更深层异化统治中寻找人类自我解放的可能性,对资本主义社会具有尖锐的批判性。

Debord＇s spectacle society theory declares that the contemporary capitalist society has become a kingdom of consumer spectacle,and the consumer society capital intentionally constructs is the re-alienation based on human alienation by materials.And the whole contemporary capitalist society has a fetish for this spectacle,which stifles human creativity and revolutionary nature.More importantly,human beings succumb themselves to the force of this alienation and other-colonization gives way to self-colonization.This theory attempts to reveal the ideology control of capital,seeks the possibility of human self-liberation in the deeper alienation rule,and fiercely criticizes capitalist society.
