In allusion to the problems in process of slime water treatment in Matou Coal Preparation Plant, the paper analyzes the nature of slime water and determines the best type and amount of the flocculant through experimental studies. That the optimal flocculant has a good sedimentation effect is also verified by industrial tests, which will obviously improve the econom- ic and social benefits.
