By using the spatial econometric approach based on panel data, this thesis confirms in an empirical way the relationship between transportation infrastructure and the total factor productivity growth. The results show that transportation infrastructure has a significant positive impact on the total factor productivity growth. The railway and freeways have 74.77% spatial spillover effect on the total factor productivity growth. The contribution share of all kinds of transportation infrastructure on the total factor productivity growth is 59.0872%. In addition, the railway and freeway have a significant positive propelling effect on the total factor productivity growth.
