It was expounded that Three ideologies, over\|all agriculture, modern agriculture and the agriculture promoted by science\|education, should be strengthened for Jiangsu rice production facing to 21st century, and the strategical thoughts for realizing the sustainable development of Jiangsu rice production were explained. Then six essential countermeasures were put forward, and three safeguards pointed out to realize the development of Jiangsu rice production.
