Based on the research status and requirements for the calibration of inductive automotive tachometer, a design scheme of a calibration device for inductive tachometers is proposed by analyzing the operational principle and measuring methods of the inductive tachometers. The design ideas and working principle of the calibration device are described. The main techtaical specifications of the device and the results of comparison experiments are presented. It is shown that the proposed design can solve the calibration problem of inductive automotive tachometers.
