摘要
概述了国内外隐喻研究,并在前人研究的基础上,对比分析了英汉隐喻认知的共性和差异,以及产生原因。同时提出将隐喻对比研究应用到教学实践,以期提高学生跨文化交际能力。
The study on metaphors in China and the west is overviewed. On the basis of linguists'study ,this paper ana- lyzes the commonality and individuality of metaphorical formation as well as the reasons in English and Chinese. At the same time ,it suggests ways of applying the study to English teaching so as to improve the students'cross-cultural communicative competence.
