Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was the most outstanding polymath in German. His most enduring work, the two-part dramatic poem Faust, is considered one of the peaks of world literature. In the numerous works of Goethe＇s, this great master in literature describes a large number of different characters. But all the characters, which are played in his works, they are more or less with the shadow of these two figures. These two names are Werther and Lotte. This article just tries to explore the Goethe, Why he puts so much fervor on these two characters, as well as the dialectical and paradoxical relationship of the two characters and the other characters which also have something like this.
