In Wuthering Height and Sunrise, the id, ego and super-ego of the two heroines are person- alized and presented through the real characters. On thebasis of this, a large number of contradictory images are used for a direct vivid refined depiction of the inner world of the heroines under the repres- sionof Patriarchal System and their tragic destiny with an aim to deepen the theme, visualize the inner conflicts and make the works dramatic and infectious with the climax of the plot.
