Social Contacts between Female Poet LU Bicheng of the South School and Contemporary Celebrities

作为时代新女性的吕碧城以自己的行动冲破了男女畛域,在近代尚显保守的社会环境下与诸多社会名流广泛交往,诗词唱和,其中尤与樊增祥、严复、袁寒云、费树蔚等人往来密切,她依靠自身的才情、人格和精神气度,获得了男性社会的友谊与尊重,从而在女性独立于世的道路上迈出了重要的一步,对20世纪女性以平等自由的身份自立于社会起到了典范的作用。

As a new woman in their era,LU Bicheng broke through the male-female boundaries.In the still conservative social environment,she made extensive contacts with many contemporary celebrities,especially with FAN Zengxiang,YAN Fu,YUAN Hanyun,FEI Shuwei and so on.She won respect and friendship from the male society by her talent,personality and spirit,thus made an important step forward on the way of winning independence.This established a model for women to exist in the society with equality and freedom in the twentieth century.
