An introduction is being presented to the purpose, business framework and coverage of equipment database in Guohua Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd., including specific contents and preparation criteria for database of each kind of equipment, together with a description about how to use the database platform to perform equipment management and fault diagnosis with actual examples.
