摘要
隐喻是重要的但并非唯一的认知方式。在两种范畴观的基础上,本文认为应该批判继承、融会贯通,全面正确地认识隐喻的本质及其对人类认识和语言发展的作用。经典范畴理论和原型范畴理论并不完全矛盾,有时是互补的。经典范畴观体现了对概念完整性的坚持。原型理论弥补了经典理论的不足,突出了范畴的开放性和人类认知的主观能动性。两种理论的互补可以避免隐喻认知的研究和应用渐行渐远。
Metaphor is an important but not the sole cognitive style. This paper points out that it is necessary to have a comprehensive and correct understanding of the essence of metaphor and its role in human cognition and linguistic development on the basis of the study of two categorizations, which are not completely contradictory yet sometimes complementary. This complementation can help keep the research and application of metaphor from going further and further.
