摘要
话题链以零形名词短语形式的话题连接起若干小句成为话语单位。本文发现话题链的句法-话语界面机制,澄清话-述之间关系的实质,并证明话题链句法行为及序列结构一方面取决于通过不同路径构建起来的关于话题的连贯性话语语义,另一方面也受到前、后景话语信息配置的影响,因此可以作为汉语具有更多"话语导向"型类型学特征的一个证据。这说明汉语"句子"结构表现出"开放性"是因为句法行为受到话语语义、信息处理以及语用因素的影响而具有了更多灵活性。
A topic chain is a discourse unit with zero NPs as the topic linking two or more clauses.This paper explores the syntax-discourse interface of topic chain.It is found that the syntactic behaviors and structures are motivated by reaching,through different paths,the coherent discourse semantics about the topic.They are also influenced by grounding as a device of information management.The findings help clarify the relationship between topic and comment,and can be used as evidence for Chinese as a discourse-oriented language.The flexibility in Chinese syntax can be explained in terms of discourse factors,such as discourse semantics,information management and pragmatic factors.
