Transformations:Consumer Society in Fairy Tales

《变形》是美国自白派诗人安妮.塞克斯顿对经典格林童话的一组诗歌改写。这部作品中,安妮.塞克斯顿创造性地将后现代消费社会视角引入诗歌,赋予经典童话作品新的内涵。通过对消费社会语境下的符号消费,大众文化性以及人性异化的描写,诗人揭示了浪漫主义面纱下童话故事中虚假的幸福表象以及当代社会真正的消费本质。

Transformations is a representative work of the American confessional poet Anne Sexton.In this work,Sexton rewrites seventeen famous Grimm＇s fairy tales in the form of poetry.Through the perspective of the postmodern consumer society theory,the poet unveils the sign consumption,mass culture and human beings＇ alienation hiden in the modern society.Meanwhile,the false happy life advertised in fairy tales and the essence of the modern consumer society is disclosed.
