摘要
DNA甲基化(DNA methylation)属于表观遗传学的研究范畴。其主要发生在基因启动子区域的“CpG”岛部位。CpG岛双核苷酸中胞嘧啶第5位碳原子是甲基化的特异性位点。DNA甲基化是一个可逆的过程,不直接依赖于DNA序列。研究认为,它与基因表达调控、DNA修复、染色体稳定性及维持细胞正常分化等多种生命过程相关。
