摘要 For several days,I trudged deep into the farming and pastoral areas of eastern Tibet on a reporting assignment.Pushing against the bitter wind on this frozen and snow-covered land, often late into the freezing nights,I was struck by a common cold.Despite suffering from cold hands and feet, stuffed nose, and a ringing in my ears, I stayed off drugs during the day for fear that medication might impair my thinking or reactions.I ran myself ragged, but managed to successfully finish my assignment.Looking back on what I saw on my trip on the snow-covered plateau,I felt a number of emotions. Two songs I heard on the road have been echoing in my ears ever since. For several days, I trudged deep into the farming and pastoral areas of eastern Tibet on a reporting assignment.
