After the extensional （G＇/G）-expansion method was used to study the complex-valued （ 1 ＋ 1 ） -dimensionalChafee-Infante equation, three types of new explicit exact solutions of complex-valued Chafee-Infante equation which can not be found in other existing results were discovered.
