WebQuest-based Critical Thinking Teaching in College English

批判性思维能力已成为大学生必须具备的基本素养。传统大学英语课堂实施批判性思维教学受到诸多因素的制约,以多媒体网络技术为支持的语言学习环境为有效培养学生的批判性思维能力提供了新的条件。本文结合大学英语教学案例说明如何利用基于网络的WebQuest教学设计模式,从选题、任务设计和评价等六个方面促进学生批判性思维能力的发展。

Critical thinking skills have become the basic quality for college students. However, in the traditional college English teaching classrooms, to teach critical thinking is restricted by many factors, yet in the E - learning environment, based on the multimedia network technology, the training of critical thinking skills for the college students is made possible. The paper discusses ways to use the WebQuest teaching mode to develop studentsjcritical thinking ability from six aspects including topic selection, task design and evaluation.
