“施坚雅模式”与近代江南市镇的空间分布

Skinner's Module and the Space Distribution of Towns in Jiangnan in Modern China

二十世纪六、七十年代,美国历史学家施坚雅提出了著名的"施坚雅模式",这是从市场结构的角度对中国集市和区域体系研究提出的一种新的分析模式。江南市镇的分布最初多受自然、地理环境和经济结构的影响,但随着市镇经济的不断繁荣,市场因素对市镇分布的影响越来越大。近代吴县地区的市镇经过由点到面的发展,最终形成一个比较成熟的市镇网络体系,其分布在某些方面与施坚雅模式存在一定的吻合。

During 1960s and 1970s, G.WilliamSkinner, an American historian, put forward a famous theory-the module of G.WilliamSkinner,which is a new analyze module for research of Chinese markets and regional system based on market structure. At the beginning, the distribution of towns in Jiangnan was mainly affected by nature, geographical environment and economic structure .However, with increasingly prosperity of towns, market played a greater influence in the distribution of towns. In recent period, towns in province Wu experienced transference, and ultimately formed a more mature towns network system, whose distribution is similar with G.WilliamSkinner module in some aspects.
