摘要
基于韩礼德和哈桑等人对功能语法中的衔接理论的论述,对衔接这一长期被关注的话题进行进一步详细论述,探讨语篇衔接机制及其在语篇生成中所起的作用。从而使交际双方能根据话语产生时交际双方所处的认知环境选择恰当的衔接机制。
Based on an account of the cohesion theory in Functional Grammar,this paper attempts to re-explore the much-talked topic illustrated with empirical examples,aiming at probing into the purposes of cohesion and its mechanism as well as its functions in constructing a coherent text,so as to help the speaker or writer choose an appropriate cohesion mechanism in a particular context.
