In college English classroom,students＇ turn silence not only disrupt the classroom interaction between students and teachers,but also affect the teacher＇s curriculum arrangement.Based on the theories of conversational analysis,cooperative principle and cross-cultural communication,the rich meanings of students＇ turn silence are analyzed using cognitive pragmatics,which helps teachers understand students＇ classroom behavior from multi-dimensional perspective.
