Impacts of RMB Cross-border Settlement on the China-Myanmar Trade

随着我国经济发展与人民币的地位提升,人民币国际化推上日程。至2009年我国实施跨境贸易人民币结算试点以来,贸易额的增长一定程度地反映了人民币结算在对外经贸中的促进作用,中缅贸易就是其中典型的例子。但是,人民币跨境结算运行中遇到的困难与瓶颈也日益凸显,加上人民币对美元汇率偶发性的连续下跌,使人民币国际化的思路遭到质疑。那么,人民币跨境结算对我国对外贸易到底有什么样的影响?人民币国际化的进程是否要继续推进呢?

With the development of Chinese economy,Chinese currency Renminbi is being focused by the world and its internationalization had officially launched in year 2009.From that year,Renminbi could be used in cross-border settlement in several trail provinces and cities.The progress brings the increasing bilateral trading amount,such as China-Myanmar＇s growing trading.However,recently,CNY-USD exchange rate continuously decreased which is out of people＇s expectation and situation shows that RMB cross-border settlement meets the bottleneck.Renminbi＇s internationalization and the progress of Renminbi cross-border settlement is being questioned.
