“家”的造字法考究

Discussion on the Forming of the Chinese Character “Home”

基于造字法的理论,根据汉字的共时和历时材料,考察汉字中"家"的造字法。分析了传统意义上的"家"从宀,豭省声的形声字造字法的不合理性,从汉字的文化意义以及汉字及其结构的历时和共时的演化来阐述"家"从宀,从豕的会意字造字法的合理性。

Applying the theory of the way of forming the Chinese characters and based on the Chinese of synchronic and diachronic data, this paper investigates the way of forming the Chinese characters of the word named ＂home＂. The tradi- tional ＂home＂, whose signifikum is followed to ＂Mian＂ and phonetic indicator is followed to abridged ＂Jia＂, so the ＂home＂ is the pictophmetic character. This article points out that this opinion is not reasonable. Based on the cultural significance of the Chinese and the process of the Chinese evolution, this paper concludes that the ＂home＂ is followed to ＂Mian＂ and ＂Shi＂, therefore it is scientific that the ＂home＂ is ideographic character.
