A Study of the Discourse of Literary Criticism-from 1940s to 1970 is the latest book by Huang Qing,a young scholar from Zhejiang University.The book carries out a systematic research on the mainstream literary criticism in China from 1940s to 1970s.By applying approaches such as discourse analysis and close reading,it explores the evolution of the literary discourse and reveals the thoughts and ideas behind it from three perspectives,namely,the form of discourse,the way of thinking and the function of criticism.With abundant historical data,convincing evidence,and well-developed arguments,it is definitely a book of academic value.
