Application of digital manufacturing technology to ortho dontics

摘要 数字化制造技术正深刻地影响着传统的口腔制造工艺。与许多其他口腔专业相同,数字化制造技术已经且仍将继续应用于正畸专业。许多正畸矫治器的生产和材料的加工已经受益于数字化制造技术,例如个性化矫治器、隐形矫治器及弓丝弯制技术。这些技术虽然有成功的商业运作,但同时还有很多提高的空间。正畸医生应主动了解数字化技术,以适应未来正畸的发展方向。 Dental technique has been changed by CAM tremendously. CAM has been and will be used in orthodontics as other dental subjects. The manufacturing of many orthodon- tic appliances and materials has benefited from CAM tech- nique, such as individual lingual appliance, invisible appli- ance and wire bending. Although those technologies have made commercial success, they still need more improvement. Orthodontists should learn some knowledge about CAM active- ly, in order to meet the future development of orthodontics.
