摘要
在语篇的展开过程中,发话者需要根据信息流的推进合理地组织和编排信息,从而保证语篇的信息连贯。如果把英语写作看做是信息组织的过程,作者在语篇展开的过程中需要根据对读者的认知状态的假设合理地编排信息,同时在信息的组织上能够使读者以较小的认知努力获取较多的信息。这就要求作者在信息的组织过程中根据语篇信息流的需要和语篇的意图对语言结构做出调整,从而合理地编排语篇中的前景信息和背景信息。
In the process of discourse unfolding, the addresser is supposed to manage and package information according to the progre- ssion of information flow so as to guarantee the informational coherence of discourse. If the English writing process is regarded as a process of information management, the writer needs to organize information adequately according to the reader＇ s assumed cog- nitive status, and in so doing enables the reader to get the desired information with the least effort. This requires the writer to ad- just linguistic structures with regard to the needs of information flow and the intentions of writing in the process of managing infor- mation so as to package foreground information and background information appropriately.
