Three Gorges Project will place 28 million m3of concrete in total and install 720,000 ton of metals and re-bars. For the second stage, the project needs to place 18.46 million m3 concrete and has 192,000 ton metal works and electrical equipment installed and buried within 6 years of implementation period. The year of 2000 features in the highest construction intensity in the second stage. 5.4 million m3 of concrete is schedule to be placed with peak monthly placement of 580,000 m3 and 38,000 m3 metal works installed.
