摘要
文章从大学英语写作教学的实践入手,分析学生英语作文中心论点含混、举例不当、行文流散等问题的超语言层面原因,阐明英汉文化差异是导致英语作文出现中式思维逻辑问题的主因,学生英语作文水平的提高有赖于英语写作思维能力的培养。
With first-handed statistics from Chinese ESL classroom,the author of this paper analyzes the supra-linguistic reasons of Chinglish logic in the compositions of non-English majors.The logical problems such as absence of a central idea,inadequate argumentation and lack of coherence can be attributed to students' ignorance of the different thinking patterns of the Chinese and the native speakers of English.Practical teaching strategies are proposed in the hope of enhancing the learners' awareness of this issue and hopefully their performance of English writing.
