This paper discusses the features and good practice of American non-military universities＇ national defense education from aspects of attaching importance to the role and function of national defense education in non-military universities,emphasizing students＇ military training and curriculum construction of national defense education,highlighting teaching staff construction in non-military universities as well as its inspiration for our country＇s national defense education reform in order to promote the sound development of our country＇s common universities＇ national defense education.
