燃气轮机(Gas Turbine)是以连续流动的气体为工质,把热能转换为机械功的旋转式动力机械,包括压气机、加热工质的设备(如燃烧室)、透平、控制系统和辅助设备等。燃气轮机动力装置具有功率大、质量轻、尺寸小、启动快、安装周期短、工程总投资相对较少、可燃用多种燃料、污染排放低、以及不用或少用冷却水等优点。它从20世纪40年代航空发展应用开始,迅速扩展到其它领域,目前在发电、原油与天然气输送、交通运输以及冶金、化工等部门都已经得到了广泛应用。
