英语阅读中母语思维与英语水平之间的关系研究 被引量:7

摘要 本研究旨在探究英语阅读过程中母语思维与英语水平之间的关系。在对4名高中生和4名大学生的英语阅读过程进行记录和分析后发现:两组学习者均在很大程度上借助母语思维进行阅读活动,但在具体阅读认知活动方面,低水平英语学习者常通过直接翻译获取文本表层信息,借助母语以联想的形式加深文意理解;高水平英语学习者阅读中介入的母语思维则常用于总结、评述文本信息。 Aiming at revealing the relationship between L1 use and English L2 proficiency,this study investigated the use of L1 in the EFL reading process of four Chinese high school students and 4 college non-English majors.A comparison between these two groups indicated: 1) both groups tended to use a considerable amount of L1 in their L2 reading;2) whereas the lower-level students liked to translate the L2 text literally into their L1,and used L1 to associate the text content with their own experience,the higher-level students were inclined to rely on L1 to summarize,criticize and question the information in the text.
