In recent years,movie adaptation by playwrights has become a new focus in the study of contemporary English drama.As a well-established playwright,Tom Stoppard's postmodernist movie Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,made from the play of the same name in 1967,deserves special attention.Relying on the diversified narrative means by camera,the theme of anxiety of influence which is somehow vague in his play is brought into sharp focus in the movie.
