A Revisit to Modern Significance of ZH UJ IA'S History of Calligraphy ——And in Its Comparison with Ma Zong Huo's Art Appreciation of Calligraphy World

本文对《书学史》现实意义的重新剖析 ,兼与马宗霍《书林藻鉴》相比较 ,充分肯定了祝先生对书坛的贡献 ,纠正了一些著述中对其不正确和不全面的看法 ,也指出该书的不足 。

This article takes another look,in terms of modern art development,at the significance of Zhu Jia's History of Calligraphy while comparing it with ZhuJia's Atr Appreciation of Calligraphy World.Mr ZhuJia's significant contribution to calligraphy world is highly praised and some incorrect and incomplete comments about the book have been corrected. Then some shortcomings are pointed out and further analysed in terms of the historical background for their existence.
