This thesis interprets the novel from the perspective of initiation story.Based on archetypal theory,the novel inherits the archetypal experiences of initiation story in terms of structure,characters,as well as the arrangement of plots.In other words,the novel possesses the traditional characteristics of initiation story.Besides,in terms of initiation theme,the novel has its own characteristics.The purpose of this paper is to render the readers a comprehensive understanding and boundless artistic charm.
