"十七年"的新疆少数民族文学中出现了一批农村题材小说,这些小说从不同方面表现了农业合作化过程中人们新旧思想观念的碰撞与矛盾,以及社会转型时期人们思想意识的转变。维吾尔作家祖农.哈迪尔的《锻炼》是"十七年"新疆少数民族农村题材小说的重要代表,小说讲述了主人公麦提亚孜由"懒汉"到"新农民"的转变历程。

There are a number of rural theme novels written during the＂ Seventeen Years＂ in Xinjiang.From different aspects,these novels show the collision of old and new ideas emerged during the period of Agricultural Cooperation and the social transition.Uighur writer Zunun Kadar＇s Duanlian is an important representative of the rural novels.The novel narrates the changes of MaiTiyazi from a sluggard to a hard-working peasant.
