精神家园是人们对世界观、人生观、价值观、理想信仰高度整合的结果,是人们笃信不移的合乎人们意愿的意义世界和理想境界。精神家园建设是满足人的精神需要、澄明人生价值和意义、确定并持守人生信仰、实现人的自由全面发展的过程;而思想政治教育本质上也是一种从思想上塑造人、构建人的精神世界的教育活动。精神家园建设在培育人的理想信念和信仰,激励、调节人的精神生活,满足人的精神文化需要,帮助人们提高素质,完善人格等方面与现代思想政治教育的内涵、目标、功能等具有高度的契合性,理应成为新世纪党的思想政治教育中的一个新维度。

Spiritual home is the integration of world views,life views,values,ideologies and faiths.Its essence lies in the unchangeable faith regarded as the basis for living and development.With the leading values of life,spiritual culture system centers on life values,ideologies,faith and eternal care.The nature of spiritual home construction is the process of leading and cultivating people to pursue the meanings of life,ideologies,faith and beliefs.In respect of the cultivation of ideologies,faith,beliefs,the inspiration and adjustment in spiritual life and the realization of wise,virtuous,meaningful and peaceful poetic life,the core values develop and are expressed in contents,goals,and functions of modern political education.Undoubtedly,spiritual home construction should be an inevitable new dimension for the ideological and political education of the Party.
