摘要
《儿子与情人》是英国作家D.H.劳伦斯的代表作品之一。小说塑造的男主角保罗.莫莱尔与劳伦斯本人年轻时的经历颇为相似,因而被认为带有半自传体小说的色彩,又凭借其独特的情节内容、诗化优美的语言,不仅赢得了读者的喜爱也受到了文学评论家们的垂青。小说文本中隐藏着大量与神话和仪式相关的内容和细节,本文试图从神话与仪式的角度,采用加拿大学者弗莱的原型批评理论,结合英国人类学家弗雷泽的人类学著作《金枝》对文本进行新的论述,追述文本中隐藏的神话与仪式原型,为小说的角色和内容试提供新的解读途径。
As a masterpiece of the famous British writer D.H.Lawrence,Sons and Lovers had been regarded as his semi-autobiographical novel because of the similarities between himself and his created hero Paul Morel.Its unique plots,poetic writings had caught the eyeballs of readers and critics tightly since its first publish.There are many plots and details related with myth and ritual in text.This paper manages to resort to Canadian scholar Northrop Frye’s archetypal criticism and Britain anthropologist Frazer’s The Golden Bough,to trace and analyze the archetypes of myth and ritual in this novel,aiming at rereading the novel from a new perspective.
