摘要
合肥地名主要可分为描写自然景观的描述性地名、记录人文历史的记叙性地名和寄托愿望情感的寓托性地名等三大类。地名不是单纯的区分地理实体的标志,而是地域社会发展进程的记录者。合肥的老地名包含着丰厚的文化象征意义,就整体而言,合肥老地名主要与重大历史事件、重要历史人物、民间文化传说相关联,体现了自然与人文的有机统一。
Place names in Hefei are mainly categorized into three types： the names describing the natural scenery;the ones recording and narrating historical events or figures;and ones expressing wishes and emotions.Rich in cultural and symbolic meaning,Hefei＇ old place names have closely related to the important historical events and figures,and local folk legends,representing the organic unity of both natural and cultural landscape.
