This paper introduces the main issues that the globalmineral exploration and development are faced with.The mainissues of focus include: the mineral exploration has rapidly recoveredfrom the short depression caused by the effects of global financialcrisis;most of the important mineral reserves have continued togrow;there has been continued rapid growth in mining developmentinvestment;the supply capacity of mineral products has increased;mergers and acquisitions of mining company are stirring,andmultinational mergers & acquisitions has become mainstream,sothe centralization of production has continuously improved;mineralproduct price remains high and volatile,resulting in increasing in thecost of economic development;emerging countries have pulled theresource requirements,and resource nationalism will have a majorimpact on the future development of mining industry.
