Database technology, which is one of the important branches in the computer science field, has been applied everywhere. Teaching database system mainly concentrates on cultivating students＇ capability on data- base principles and software development. As an opportunity to develop a complete library management system, this article applying the case -driven and interest -oriented teaching strategy, demonstrates the importance to develop students＇ abstract thinking and problem solving ability.
