以当代汉语中出现的常用英源外来词为对象,从文化学的角度分析英源外来词译借所涉及的语用策略,并探讨中国文化语境在外来词译借中的作用,即在表音、释义的汉语字、词选择过程中,体现出来的对中华民族文化心理、形象思维方式以及汉字文化意义等因素的顺从。

The pragmatic strategies of English loanwords interpretation are discussed in the paper in the view of cultural-context adaptation based on the contemporary Chinese vocabulary. The function of Chinese cultural context is alse analyzed in translating English loanwords into Chinese, in which the Chinese cultural psychology, national thinking mode, as well as the cultural significance and lingering charm of Chinese characters must be taken into full consideration in the selecting process of phonetic representative and semantic interpretative words.
