《孟子》"志士不忘在沟壑,勇士不忘丧其元"中的"忘",其词义当为"害怕"。这是由"忘"所处的具体语境确定的;表示害怕义的"忘"还出现在其他文献中,表示"惧"。与"忘"相通的"忙"古有"害怕"义。
The detailed study of the ＂tree＂ semantic field shows that with the advancement of human recognition of the world words denoting ＂tree＂ are specified. Its semantic development bases on analogies and relevance. Tree can be used to designate fruit, wood, color, beam, axis, ditch, trough, and body part as well.
