1959-1961年是中华人民共和国历史上最严重的经济困难时期,尤其是农业遭到了灭顶之灾,生产"瘫痪",农民们的生活质量出现了历史上罕见的低下水准。本人通过对河南省南阳地区9个村庄的调研,详细地论述了1959—1961年村庄里人口与家庭的真实状况,通过这个侧面的书写,必将深化学术界关于这段历史的研究。

In the history of People＇s Republic of China occurred the most serious economic difficulties during the period of 1959-1961, and it was a disaster especially in agriculture, with the production in the state of ＂paralysis＂ and the quality of farmer＇s life in the lower level rarely seen in the history. The author makes a research of nine villages in Nanyang region, discussing the population and the state of the families in detail during this period of time, which will lead to a further academic study of the history of this period of time.
