As the Christian＇s sacred scripture, the Bible had played a tremendous role in the shaping of the Westerners＇ soul, spirit and emotions, which also includes the formation of Western traditional concept of the legal cognition. The nature of law in the Bible is not only reverent, awesome, but also amiable and benevolent. The distinct character and image of law molded by the Bible have a profound impact on the West and its culture＇s cognitive status and psychology about law, including the Western attitudes, conceptions, beliefs and emotions regarding to law.
