The article introduces the characteristics and classification of the slab cracking of concrete face rockfill dams and concludes the regular pattern of the cracking development by analyzing the stress and deformation of the slab in the period of construction and storage. It also points out the slab cracking treatment should be modified according to its locations and shapes in order to meet the anti-seepage requirements with the example of Pankou hydroelectric power station dam and so on.
