Application of B&R's Distributed Motion Control Solution to the Small Bag Packaging Machine

This paper addresses the application of ＆R＇ s industrial control system on a small bag packaging machine. We describe the principle of the small bag packaging machine and the demands of small bag cartooning production line to the control system. We emphasize on the descriptions of the characteristics of the distributed motion control solution based on ACOPOS servo drives and real time Ethemet Powerlink. Our solution can satisfy the control requirements of the packing machines for high speed production and flexible manufacturing.
