The finite element structural analysis method for the whole structure of the tower crane is studied(?) The overall analysis strategy and the key steps are given. The simplification of the structure, the construction of the analysis model and the imposition of boundary conditions are discussed. A parametric analysis system is built based on the proposed scheme and the inplementation details of each module are presented. The finite element structural analysis of the whole structure of a certain tower crane is carried out and the preliminary design of the jib is verified using the parametric system.
