The Relation Between Song Style and Markedness—a Discussion with Zhao Yiheng

标出性的讨论,是文化符号学的一个重大课题。标出项具有风格特征,但究竟风格特征是标出性的原因,还是因为被标出才让人觉得具有风格,这个因果关系必须辩论清楚。本文以歌曲为例:歌曲的歌词由于体裁的规定性,失去了"正常"语言的指称功能,失落了语义功能,这明显是由于歌曲体裁的风格性导致了歌曲语言的标出性,是一种典型的风格导致标出。

Markedness is a major subject of cultural semiotics. The marked is of stylistic characterisics, but the causality must be clearly argued whether style is the reason for markedness or being marked resuits in style. The article, exemplified by songs, clarifies that the lyrics of songs lose the referential function of ＂normal＂ language as well as semantic function because of stylistic prescriptiveness. It is evident that the styles of songs lead to markedness of songs, which is a typical causal relation between style and markedness.
