战国中期秦、齐两国称帝及其迅速废除帝号的原因

战国中期,周王朝已经衰落不能号令天下,诸侯中老牌霸主魏国也已衰落,新的强国秦、齐、赵先后崛起,称王已不再显赫,于是秦国率先称西帝,而送东帝给齐国。由于燕国为了达到报齐国灭国之仇,派间谍苏秦到齐劝说齐王废除了帝号,再加上其他各国不愿秦国强大,然后合纵攻秦,迫使秦国也废除了帝号。最终造成了齐灭宋国,激怒了各国,形成了合纵攻齐的态势,秦国由此形成一强独大。

Therefore, the king of Qin declared himself as the West Emperor and suggested the king of Qi as the East Emperor. In order to revenge for being defea- ted by the Qi state, the Yan State sent the famous spy, Su Qin, to the Qi state and persuaded the king of Qi gave up the title of emperor, beside this, the other states were unwilling to see the Qin state become more and more powerful and they began to unite together to at- tack Qin state, finally, the king of Qin had to gave up the title of emperor.
